๐๏ธ I Have Been Silently Building...

In October 2022, I embarked on a crazy, exciting journey as an ENT registrar. Itโs been full-on (think endless training, long hours, and lots of scalpel action), but Iโve loved every second. However, with surgery taking centre stage, some other passions had to wait their turn.
One of those? Building new skills. Initially, I dabbled with YouTube, thinking Iโd be globe trotting operating left, right and centre. Long story shortโit didnโt quite take off (story for another day!). Instead, I found myself channeling my energy into more โmid-life crisisโ hobbies: running, cycling, swimming.
In keeping with my always short attention span, I started working on something excitingโa website for ENT trainees called ๐ DO-HNS (www.dohns.co.uk). This site started as a tool to help candidates smash their MRCS ENT exam. I taught myself web design, some coding, and dove into the world of online entrepreneurship. I even discovered this thing called Canva!
After two years of making a loss... I began to realise something called profit (not that familiar with it tbh).
Then, just as I started seeing the fruits of my labour, the Royal College scrapped the very exam my site was designed for.

So therein I had to learn about the Art of Pivot.

I looked at some of the referrals I was receiving from the wards, emergency department, general practitioners (sorry all) and realised ENT and Head and Neck Surgery was a mystical gap in everyone's knowledge.
So now I knew what I would build. It's still a work in progress but let me know what you think ๐
